Following on from the release of The Matthew Herbert Big Band album "Goodbye Swingtime" comes the first single, "The Process, The Parts, The Many and The Few"







Alongside the main track, "The Many and the Few", featuring Jamie Lidell on vocals, are a collection of outtakes and works in progress from the original Big Band recording sessions at Abbey Road. Also included on the 12" is a Big Band version of Doctor Rockit’s "Café de Flore" which was also recorded at the Abbey Road sessions but not included on the album.

In a way "The Parts..." is not so much a single as a collection of pieces that work as a companion to the finished album and show in more detail how parts of it came together.
